And the atmosphere? That’s what Strayhorn is all about.
A full house in the stands. A loud and bold cheer team. Mr. Donahue on the mic. Coach Bradley running the scoreboard. Our Varsity Mustangs serving the younger guys as the chain gang and water boys. And a crowd that kept the energy going!
Wins will come. Tonight, we saw something just as important—a program supporting a program, older Mustangs pouring into younger Mustangs, and a community showing up for all of them.

When I look back at these pictures from Meet the Mustangs, I see more than teams, uniforms, and a packed stadium. I see students cheering for other students. I see teammates supporting teammates. I see a pride in our school that is growing—and you can feel it.
I can’t wait to see how that pride translates to the court, the field, the sidelines, the stands, and even the classroom.
No matter what the scoreboard says, these kids are learning what it means to show up for each other.
